The year 2020… the pandemic… the lockdown… there was nowhere to go… So I did the best to put my mind to good use, to feed and preserve it. About 2 am that morning, I was studying and researching into one of my areas of specialisation – Identity, and I stumbled on a quote by Albert Einstein that read – “Everybody is a GENIUS. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
That was it for me! I shut down my computer and my mind soared all the curves of the earth in awe, yet stricken with unimaginable disbelief at how I may have been living stupidly for so long, looking at and trying to evaluate my life through someone else’s lenses, and worse too, judging others through my lenses.
That was my “EUREKA!” moment. That was the day I recommitted to be and show up daily with a better version of a “me” that I intentionally define, am consistently becoming and guiding others to do the same too.
